'The Soweto Towers' - (Orlando Towers 2015)

This vibrant street art has transformed the grey, lifeless concrete of these decommissioned coal-fired power station towers into a colourful, beautiful canvas. It has also reinvented the ambiance of the entire city. It has created connectedness where once only division existed. It has created renewed hope for a positive future, despite a harrowing past. This street art now serves as a constant reminder that vision, determination and creativity are able to create a masterpiece in even the most unlikely settings.

The iconic Orlando Towers have been converted from two unsightly cooling towers to being the site of some of the most fun and exhilarating adventure sports in the country. They are situated in Soweto, just outside Johannesburg in the province of Gauteng.
